- AIKIDO - Tenchi Ryu

Aikido principles are based on
exploiting the weaknesses of an opponent. Joints, posture, the mind can
all be vulnerable areas when attacked or challenged. In essence Aikido
is turning an opponents' power against themselves by using the exact
degree of control required to neutralise their energy without inflicting
undue harm.

Amature Boxing

By training
in our Boxing sessions you will learn correct boxing technique and
skills. Even if you never wish to step in the ring and pit yourself
against another person these sessions will give you the fitness and
skills you desire.

Arnis~Kali~Eskrima

This Philippino
Martial Art focuses on the use of weapons as a form of defence. This is
a fast paced and practical martial art that also has a sport side for
those who like to go to the extreme. The major weapon used is the 50cm
rattan stick and double rattan sticks. Other weapons also include the
daggar, palm stick and long staff.

Kidz Karate

Specifically
designed for children of primary school age and based on
Zen Do Kai with the philosophy of “No desire to hurt”, this is the ideal
martial art for children.
Kidz Karate
utilises martial arts techniques, co ordination drills, games and, for
those interested, competition. These help develop body awareness, goal
setting, greater self-esteem, self-discipline and give valued social
contact with other children.

Muay Thai Kickboxing

Muay Thai is a
high-energy martial art that teaches students to develop maximum power
with every technique.
The class is
fast paced from start to finish. Techniques are practiced on pads so
students learn power development and offensive and defensive skills. In
the past few years SMAC has produced many successful fighters

ZDK is an all
rounded martial art that includes the devastating techniques of Muay
Thai and blends them with other skills such as; Ground fighting
(wrestling), locks, holds, throws, self defence techniques, weaponry,
pressure point strikes, multiple attack drills, meditation and much
more.
Techniques are
explained in great detail ensuring a greater understanding and a safe
environment. (For people 13yrs and over)
