Punching Drill
1. Left foot forward punching-fighting stance 2. Jab (left hand punch) 3. Cross (right hand punch) 1.
Punching fighting stance

3. Cross punch
5. Stamp-cross punch. Stamp by moving the left foot forward approximately the distance of your own foot and punch with your right hand. Your punch should finish just after your foot lands. As you bring your hand back to your guard position bring your right (or rear) leg slightly forward so your stance is normal depth again.
6. Step through-cross punch. Step forward with your right leg (rear leg) so your
stance is now right foot in front. Punch with your right hand (cross punch) at
the same time. 7. Jab punch. Without changing your feet punch with your left hand (jab punch). 6. Step through Cross punch 7.Jab punch
8. Turn around. Turn around by lifting your rear leg (left leg). Place it across behind your body and turn by twisting on the ball of your right leg. Put your left leg out in front of your body and you should be in a good punching-fighting Now complete the exercise again in the direction you are now facing. When you finish you should be back where you started. In class this drill is done to two counts of four. 1 Jab-Cross 2.Stamp jab 3. Stamp cross 4. Step through cross jab. Turn around 1.2.3.4.
