ROUND KICK

 

The kick must be repeated 12 times on both legs with all kicks being correct. Three kicks at each of the student’s thigh, rib, shoulder and head height. At least one kick at each of the target heights should be paused for 3 seconds.

 

The support leg should rotate to allow the hip to come over

The knee of the kicking leg should be bent when lifting into the kick

The toes should be pointed

The target area must be struck with the shin and not the instep

An ability to kick “through the target” should be shown.
