SIDE KICK
The kick must be repeated 9 times on both legs with all kicks being correct. Three kicks at each of the student’s knee, solar plexus, shoulder height. At least one kick at each of the target heights should be paused for 3 seconds.
The support leg must be rotated on the leg lift (chambering of the kick) and again during the extension of the kick. The knee of the kicking leg must be lifted high (chambered). The blade of the foot must be used to strike with. Leg should be straight off the side of the body not behind or in front. |
